As I write this, fireworks are going off in the sky throughout Thailand, people dressed in pink or yellow shirts are crowding the streets of Bangkok with lit candles, and every home, including mine, is tuned in to watch the King give his birthday address on TV. Happy 82nd Birthday to His Majesty King Bhumipol Adulyadej!

Long Live the King!
